Path to Bennetts Pond

A path to Bennett's Pond in Ridgefield Connecticut, along the Ives trail. This is the second painting that's been done from high definition photography. On this particular visit to the pond I took along a tripod and camera, taking multiple exposures of many scenes. Back home, the exposures were blended to create single, highly defined images, very good for painting from - lots of visual information, all very relevant. I look forward to making more HDR images and painting from them, eventually creating paintings much larger than 5 x 7". - Nancy Boudreau

This painting is approximately 5" x 7", acrylic on gessoed board, matted in an 8" x 10" cream-colored mat, unframed. It is for sale directly from the artist.
