A View Out the Back Door

A view out the back door: late summer sun pouring through the clearing above, lighting this stand of trees, green gold. Soon the Barred Owl will make its first call, a booming solo "WHOOOOOO!" waking his neighbors and announcing the beginning of this evenings hunt. Watch out, you Flying Squirrels, the attic is your only sanctuary when the owl has a family to feed.
- Nancy Boudreau

This painting is about 4 x 9.75 inches and is acrylic on gessoed mat board, protected in a cream colored mat. The text above is handwritten on the back of the painting, which is also signed and dated.
