5" x 6 3/4" acrylic painting on matte board
signed, dated and comments on the back
To me, this is the first step of abstraction.
Our minds naturally seek patterns, to make sense out of chaos.
Random color and brush strokes frustrate our minds' efforts to organize and thus "make sense" of what we see.
Applying random colors in a pattern help the viewer feel more comfortable, more familiar.
This painting is random color arranged in a simple, understandable pattern. There was no intent to paint a picture of glass tile.
