Days later,
most of the blooms are still fresh.

Easter Basket

An idiom for Easter:
don't put all your eggs in one basket.

The watercolor workbook
forges ahead one page at a time.

Beggar or Chooser?

The artist in an old castoff coat
considers that
beggars can't be choosers.

Appreciating the value of an outdated secondhand drawing tablet. It was destined for the trash until an appropriate driver download was available from Wacom. TG

White Onion with Leaves

Two veggies in one:
leaves that can be used as green onions,
and the white onion
which is more mild and juicy
than it's yellow or red cousin.

Another tasty page in the watercolor workbook.

Peppers Mustard Garlic and Shallots

Besides considering the color and shapes
when staging a still life,
I can't help but imagine the taste
of the combined ingredients.

Three new tubes of Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors have been added to my collection, satisfying a yen for more robust color. Such high quality materials are best appreciated by viewing the actual watercolor paintings, as photos and screen images can only provide pale interpretations.

Knitting Stash

My artist's tribute to the love of knitting:
Chiao Goo Red Lace circular needles,
swatches, cone, and hank of yarn.

The watercolor workbook grows by one more page.
