Tree Peony

"One month of undisciplined intent, doing everything but painting. There is so much happening in the spring - the time between mid-May and mid-June, one thing after another blooming or being born. And the freedom, finally, of being outdoors and comfortable. Time that (should?) would have been spent in the studio instead spent hiking, bicycling to work, or working in the garden. New flowers every day, fox kits, raccoon kits, goslings, fuzzy new creatures. How can I sit still and record it all? I must get out and live."
- Nancy Boudreau, June 4th 2011

This is a 5" x 7" acrylic painting on gessoed and lovingly textured mat board. Sealed with a gloss clear coat and delivered in a cream-colored 8" x 10" mat, ready for framing.
