Rabbit's Foot Fern

Gotta love those fuzzy rhizomes.

Prayer Plant

Unlike the Hoya,
the Prayer Plant (Maranta leuconeura)
resists being a compliant still life subject.

Named for the habit of folding

its leaves as daylight wanes,
the plant is constantly in motion,
reacting to changing light.
